Improving Maternity & Neonatal Care: Exciting Developments from MNVP

Dedicated to giving a voice to pregnant women, new mums, and their partners, MNVP is focused on improving healthcare experiences, reducing health inequalities, and driving meaningful change.
A key part of MNVP’s work is its collaboration with Barts Health NHS Trust, Patient Experience Midwives, Family Hub, Public Health, and various community partners. By working together, they aim to ensure that maternity and neonatal services are tailored to meet the needs of the community.
This March, MNVP is launching its first “You Said, We Did” statement, which demonstrates how feedback from the community is directly influencing the way services are delivered. This initiative is a significant step towards ensuring that the voices of women and families are not only heard but also acted upon.
A new addition to the initiative is the “Muslim Momma Card,” introduced to create a more inclusive and respectful environment for Muslim mothers during labour and post-birth. The card ensures that these mothers’ cultural and religious needs are acknowledged and respected during their care.
