Information Day on Eye health and Sight Loss
Canning Town Library, 18 Rathbourne Market, London E16 1EH
Friday 16th September, 10.00am - 3.00pm
London Vision supports blind and partially sighted people in London. They would like to meet you and tell you more about what they do – that’s why they’re holding an Information Day in Newham on 16th September 2022.
If you are blind or partially sighted, a friend, family member or support someone with sight loss, then why not come along and meet their friendly team and find out more. They are also inviting those who may be at risk of developing sight loss and anyone who wishes to learn more about good eye healthcare.
- Learn about what they do and what they can do for you
- Hear local voices and try out some of the latest aids, technology
- Find out about the help & support available for people with low vision and sight loss
You can also meet other local charity representatives at the Information Day, learn about other organisations working in Newham and speak to the local Eye Clinic Liaison Officer (ECLO).
The event is sponsored by Sight and Sound Technology and Enabled Living, who will also be exhibiting on the day. We are also pleased to be welcoming RNIB, DeafBlind UK, Insight Mind and local opticians to the event, who can answer any eye health questions. More exhibitors to be announced.
Sight and Sound Technology will demonstrate some of the latest assistive technology on offer and Dr Beverley Duguid from Insight Mind will provide mindfulness taster sessions.
The event is FREE and refreshments. To book your attendance, please email info@londonvision.org or call 0203 761 365.
