Healthwatch is a statutory organisation. The Healthwatch Newham Board has a major role to play in developing our strategy, direction, business objectives and customer focus. Joining the Healthwatch Newham Board provides a great opportunity to help make a real difference to delivering service improvements and benefits for communities across Newham.

Healthwatch Newham functions:

• Public engagement
• Information and Signposting
• Influence and guide strategy development for health and social care commissioners, and decision-makers with evidence-based information on the views and requirements of Newham residents
• Share best practice with similar stakeholders
• Support health and social care providers in improving services
• Collaborate with existing organisations on advocacy for service users
