Job Vacancy - Healthwatch Newham Manager
The Forum for Health and Wellbeing are contracted by London Borough of Newham to support Healthwatch Newham. Healthwatch Newham is a consumer champion focusing on health and social care.
We are looking for an energetic and enthusiastic Healthwatch Manager– Full-time until the end of March 2016 with a possibility of an extension.
Salary : SCP 39 £35,214 per annum this figure includes outer London allowance.
You will be an excellent communicator with good relationship building and influencing skills. You will be passionate about using these skills to be the champion for improving health and social care for service users in Newham.
The Healthwatch Manager (Newham) is responsible for facilitating the impactful contribution of Healthwatch members, users of health and social care services and the public to influence improvement and development of health and social care services. Ensuring a service user and patient voice, in the design, commissioning, delivery and evaluation of health and social care services.
The Healthwatch Manager will act and enable others to act as informed, constructive advocates of service user, patient and resident interests, proficiently balancing the role of scrutiny with that of key partner. In particular the Healthwatch Manager will promote a clear, collective voice that is proactively representative of Newham’s.
Your work will include creating and developing existing networks of individuals, voluntary & community organisations and key stakeholders to support the work of Healthwatch Newham.
The post holder will also support the delivery and on-going development of an information and signposting service for Newham residents and support the monitoring and evaluation of this service.
The Healthwatch Manager will be responsible, with the Healthwatch Newham Board for the on-going governance of Healthwatch including development of a Healthwatch business plan. They will also be responsible for the effective management of Healthwatch human, financial and physical resources in partnership with the Healthwatch Board and the host organisation, The Forum for Health and Wellbeing. This will include providing performance reports and identifying suitable sources of external funding.
