About us
We were established in 2012 and are part of a national network led by Healthwatch England. We have a seat on the Newham Health and Wellbeing Board and the Newham Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) Governing Board.
We are the independent voice for residents of Newham who use health and social care services. Our vision is of a thriving and active community of Newham people who want to influence and contribute to the development and delivery of quality health and social care in the borough.
Our year in numbers
- During the year, 243 people shared their views and feedback with us.
- We engaged and supported 11922 people that approached us for straightforward advice and information about topics such as mental health and COVID-19 through our website and other sources.
- In total, we produced 5 reports about the improvements people would like to see to health and social care services.
- Our most popular report was Keeping All Adults Safe which highlighted the struggles people have in understanding safeguarding and using service.
